Chief Executive Officer

Lester oversees the management and execution of strategies for Fund Singapore. Lester has accumulated over a decade of experience consulting and investing in the entire value chain of companies from start-ups to listed companies in Asia. These deals include mergers and acquisitions, public listings, private placements, mezzanine, and buyouts. His various roles in banking, private equity, and venture capital has equipped him with strong investment knowledge and comprehensive operational know-hows. As a management consultant, Lester was also intimately involved in the technology aspects of the financial services industry.

As CEO of Fund Singapore, an equity-based and debt-based crowdfunding company that specialises in investing in startups, SMEs, public listed-companies, and real estate projects, Lester oversees the management and execution of strategies for the company. Prior to this, Lester headed the investment strategies and operations of a private equity and venture capital firm. 

He spent several years as a banker with various local and foreign banks accumulating over a decade of experience consulting and investing in the entire value chain of companies from startups to listed companies in Asia. These deals include mergers and acquisitions, public listings, private placements, mezzanine, and buyouts. His various roles in banking, management consulting, private equity, and venture capital has equipped him with strong investment knowledge and comprehensive operational know-hows.

Lester is a teaching faculty at the Singapore Management University. He teaches Finance for the Masters program. The postgraduate startups he mentored won numerous awards yearly at the Asia Venture Challenge. Lester is also a mentor at the DBS pre-accelerator hotspot where he advises young companies on strategies and financial valuations. Lester currently sits on various profit and non-profit boards lending his expertise in the areas of strategy and finance.

Lester holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He was awarded a scholarship to pursue his Masters of Business Administration at the Singapore Management University which he graduated with Dean’s List. He did his postgraduate certificate in Real Property Valuation at the University of British Columbia.

Matthias Yeo is one of the leading experts in Technology. He has been spearheading advanced technology development in the cyber security space for almost two decades. He has earned a reputation for identifying technology strategies, and implementing them successfully in various organisations. The transformation impact he created was well recognized by his peers and he was awarded "Asia Greatest CTO" by URS Media.

Having spearheaded advanced technology development in the cyber security space for almost two decades, Matthias Yeo is a unique household name in the cyber security and technology space within Asia Pacific. He has earned a reputation for identifying technology strategies, and implementing them successfully in various organisations.

Matthias has been part of the founding team as a Board Advisor. He joined Fund Singapore in June 2018 as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) focusing on business transformation through technology innovation, building the ecosystem of technology collaboration and forming strategic partnership

Prior to this, Matthias was Symantec's Chief Technology Officer (Asia Pacific) responsible for driving organisation’s solution strategy and technology vision throughout Asia Pacific. The transformation impact he created was well recognized by his peers and he was awarded "Asia Greatest CTO 2016" by URS Media

He sits on various corporate boards, non-profit organisations and charity as board director, Presently, he holds the position of President in (ISC)2 Singapore chapter (Cyber Security Chapter that focus on security and governance skill). He also serves as an advisor SUTD Center of Research Technology and Innovation Advisor. Matthias holds a Master in Technology degree from the National University of Singapore. He also did his Bachelor in Computing at Monash University.

Christopher Huang

Christopher heads the Tax Practice group in Colin Ng & Partners LLP (CNP). He primarily advises on the legal and tax implications arising from a range of corporate matters (including acquisitions, buyouts, joint ventures and shareholder agreements). Christopher’s approach to practice is focused on ensuring alignment between both the commercial and the legal & tax implications that are relevant to every transaction. This enables his clients to achieve outcomes that are in line with their commercial objectives.

With a background in finance and accounting, Christopher is valued by his clients for being a commercially minded lawyer who is adept at distilling their concerns, elucidating the relevant legal concepts and tailoring pertinent and effective advice.

Christopher graduated from the University of Queensland (Australia) with a dual degree in law (LL.B.) and commerce (B.Com) majoring in finance. Prior to joining CNP, he worked as an accountant (with Hastings Deering, Australia), a business manager (with Adcomp Technology in Singapore), a tax adviser (with the transfer pricing department at PricewaterhouseCoopers) and a lawyer with VoskampLawyers.

Jin Hao was a Senior Relationship Manager with a Singapore bank prior to joining Fund Singapore. He handled the borrowing, cash management and investment needs of the corporate clients under his care. Most of his clients were in the growth stage of their business with annual turnovers of between $10 mil to $100 mil. Through his professional engagements, he has built a strong network of contacts across various fields and ranging from High Net Worth Individuals, C-Suite Executives and Entrepreneurs.

Jin Hao oversees the investment portfolio and development of investment policies for Fund Singapore. He monitors and safeguards the company’s investment activities while providing regular updates to investors. His main focus is creating a desirable balance of risks and return on the investments that Fund Singapore enters into.

Prior to joining Fund Singapore, Jin Hao ply his trade in the corporate banking sector, where he handled the borrowing, cash management and investment needs of the corporate clients under his care. Over the course of his work, Jin Hao is focused on identifying and mitigating strategic, financial and credit risks for companies, and helping to improve their business performances.

Tapping on his experience and vast network of professionals, Jin Hao brings along the value proposition of helping companies achieve their funding goals to support business growth.

Jin Hao did his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Singapore Management University (SMU) in 2014. He is currently the President of the MBA Alumni Group and has been serving in the Executive Committee over the last 3 years. Jin Hao also holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Nanyang Technological University.

Focusing in the area of strategizing IT solutions for businesses to improve customer relations, productivity and cost reduction, Yew Mun had lead strategic business projects harnessing technology to transform business processes. He has delivered IT solutions to transform and setup an agile way of handling business operation. Yew Mun joined Fund Singapore in August 2018 focusing on designing technology architecture that aligns with Fund Singapore’s visions and standards. He is in charge of defining and implementing high performance technology architecture across the organisation's entities so that Fund Singapore, a subsidiary of Fund Asia, can build an investment ecosystem around bleeding edge technology. By integrating technology frameworks across the organization's business units, Yew Mun ensures Fund Singapore businesses operates at its zenith.

Dr Patrick H M Loh

Dr Patrick H M Loh

Dr Loh is a practising plant scientist and one of the early pioneering bio-entrepreneurs in Singapore who has successfully established the commercial application of biological and molecular techniques to mplant and arable crop improvements in the agro-based industries in ASEAN region.
In 2008 to 2010, he is appointed President Commissioner/Non-Executive Chairman of both IDX-listed PT Citra Kebun Raya Agri and PT Royal Oak Development Asia in the Republic of Indonesia. He has served as Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board at SGX-listed Eu Yan Sang International Ltd (2011-2013) and as its Chief Scientific Officer (2007-2011).

In 2015, Dr Loh received the highest science honor – the Honorary Doctorate of Science (HonDSc) from Murdoch University, Western Australia in recognition of his exceptional contributions to science, academia and agribusiness in the ASEAN region. He is appointed Mentor to the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) Innovation Group Hotspot for its “startups” and the DBS Entrepreneurs.

Dr Loh is an adjunct professor at the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences, Murdoch University, Western Australia; the Singapore Management University (SMU)’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business and SIM University (UniSIM)’s School of Science and Technology in Singapore. In January 2016, he is appointed Chairman, Special Advisory Board, Murdoch University in Singapore.

He has served as Agri-Adviser to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), Ministry of National Development from 2003 to 2011. Currently, he is still a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore and a Mentor-in-Residence of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) at the Singapore Management University.

In recognition of his leadership to the community, Dr Loh was conferred the PINGKAT BAKTI MASYARAKAT (PBM-THE PUBLIC SERVICE MEDAL) in 2001 and the BINTANG BAKTI MASYARAKAT (BBM-THE PUBLIC SERVICE STAR) in 2006 by HIS EXCELLENCY, THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE.

Ang Ser Keng

Ser Keng is a Senior Lecturer of Finance at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business in SMU. He has been actively teaching, undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programs since 2003. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee & Director of the UOB-SMU Asian Enterprise Institute, a highly successful tripartite collaboration between UOB, SMU and local enterprises aimed at facilitating the learning of SMU students and SMEs. He has been at the helm of this initiative since 2006, and played a pivotal role in raising fresh funding in 2012 to sustain the initiative, which started as one of the first centers at SMU, and the first center to be augmented to an institute.

Prior to his academic appointment at SMU, Ser Keng was an investment banker. He spent nine years in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, where he originated and executed cross-border transactions for clients at international banks – Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO and Flemings. Ser Keng also has been an active investor for the past 20 years.

Ser Keng graduated with an MBA from London Business School, a Master in Business Research from the UWA, and a Bachelors of Accountancy (BAcc) from NUS. He is qualified for both CPA and ACIS. He is a PhD in Finance candidate at the UNSW.
